after seven weeks in the u.s. (four weeks philadelphia, 3 weeks florida), i'm going back to germany today. i had a great time and i'm definitely coming back.

two days after obama's visit in philly, president bush was in town. he was even waving at us. the white thing in the car are his gloves.

the other weekend

the other weekend i spent in weimar - walking in the park where goethe's summer house is and watching "kabale und liebe" (intrigue and love) by schiller in the grand theatre.

my evening ended with business lectures by bruno banani, ernst and young and other companies telling me what great companies they are and that i should apply for a job. *yawn*
my weekend already starts tomorrow with a spa weekend in weimar. *relax*

a guy from the "peanut shop" gave all the vendors at the christmas market abox full of roasted nuts as a christmas ift. as i had bought them before and really liked them, i said to him: "oh, thanks! i love your nuts!" ...and suddenly all the customers were laughing at me. well, my excuse was that i'm not a native speaker but i think i would have even said the same in german. :)

unfortunately, i can't read your blogs or upload any photos as the internet here in the hotel is so slow! i would like to show you some photos of ohio and tell you more about my life here but it's just not possible at the moment.
we only took one notebook with us, so when the internet is a bit faster, big s. uses it to work. but i'm sure it will get better.

by the way, it's very cold up here! ...each evening, i don't know if i still got feet (i work outside).
