the day suddenly got better when i noticed that during two hours work in the library on a saturday i can achieve more than during the whole week.

6 weeks

i've got less than 6 weeks till my project has to be ready. it's like a pre-study for my ma-thesis and comprises about 60 pages (so far not one single page has been written).
i need to start NOW!

my evening ended with business lectures by bruno banani, ernst and young and other companies telling me what great companies they are and that i should apply for a job. *yawn*
my weekend already starts tomorrow with a spa weekend in weimar. *relax*

this book is actually a pillow

i really looked like this man here. wrote a term paper till 5 a.m., slept 2 hours, got up at 7 a.m.and handed in my paper at 9 a.m.

i still feel good due to a nice afternoon. tomorrow more.

but now a picture of the books i had to work through. i'm so glad it's over!

so wie der mann oben (dies ist übrigens ein kissen in buchgestalt) sah ich diese nacht wahrscheinlich auch aus. musste bis 5 uhr morgens noch ne hausarbeit schreiben (heute ging das neue semester los), habe mir dann 2 stunden schlaf gegönnt, um schließlich 7 uhr wieder aufzustehen und um 9 die hausarbeit abzugeben (rechtzeitig bevor der prof kam).

mir geht es trotzdem recht gut, schließlich bin ich noch fertig geworden und habe dann einen angenehmen nachmittag verbracht. morgen mehr.

frustration shopping, jogging, eating

during the last days the weather was so enlightening but what was not enlightening was my exam on tuesday morning which i certainly did not pass! it was one of those exams where you have to learn things by heart and i so hate learning things by heart! anyway, someone who wrote the same exam one month before told me the questions in advance. that is always very helpful coz the professor always has the same stupid questions. so *stupid and lazy me* i only learned those questions she could remember and thought this will be enough to pass the exam and - you might already divine it - the exam contained different questions.
shopping afterwards wasn't very helping escaping my frustration coz i didn't buy anything. jogging afterwards wasn't very helping coz my stamina was too bad. eating masses of food afterwards wasn't really helping coz my stomach gets easily used to it and just wants more.
i know it was my fault but why did this old-fashioned teacher not use the same questions this time? have to wait a whole year to redo the exam. :(

dull

have to write a term paper. it is due... mh... actually was... on the 28th February. dunno what to write. dull. thought i can finish it till tomorrow and hand it in but i don't feel like it. help!

library witness

in the library: i go to a computer room to research something. there's only one guy inside and when he sees me he looks at me like "what do you want here? that's my library. leave me alone". i don't care, maybe he's got a bad day. so i go to a pc and do some stuff. then i print something, go to the printer and just by chance i see his screen. naked women in clear positions. but only for one second. then he closes the window and a word document appears. back on my pc, 10 min later the same game. collect some sheets from the printer. this time i deliberately look at his screen and again, see some p**n stuff (hope i don't get flagged by google). just for a second or two. now i know why he had looked at me with that "friendly" face.
i go to the copying machine and meet a male friend. i tell him about that guy. he gets curious and wants to see how he looks like. a word and a blow, he walks towards him until he can see his screen. but that guy doesn't close the window, he just continues watching his p**n.
i mean, ok usually the computers are only for research stuff but who cares? everybody does something else and this time there were enough other unused pcs, so no problem. no, the thing which bothers me is just that in front of me, he felt embarrassed or whatever watching that but in front of another male person he just felt cool or what? go home boy and watch your dirty videos there or get a life!

new name?

researchers figured out that my first name is unsexy and associated with a bad social environment. parents which were led by popular foreign-language songs or films in their choice of baby names are supposed to belong to the uneducated underclass. in my case it was an english song. the professor said that my first name (together with Cindy, Kevin, ...) is ok for a hairdresser but lawyers, designers, doctors or other academics will have a hard furrow to plough with this name. i am broken. please help! i won't get a prestigious job in the near future. and who's to blame? my name? absurd.

caught me

oops, all our lectureres at uni got a mail that jogging at the cemetery is no longer allowed for students (yes, instead of a park we have a cemetery close to the uni which is quite nice - with lots of trees etc.)! i can totally understand that some people feel offended by joggers but students are also in a plight by not having a park/forest nearby. ehm, i feel a bit accosted coz i did that before, too. caught me...


ups, alle dozenten unserer uni haben folgende mail erhalten:

Aus diesem Anlass wird darauf hingewiesen, dass sich jeder auf Friedhöfen der Würde des Ortes entsprechend zu verhalten hat und dass der Friedhof nicht für sportliche Aktivitäten zu nutzen ist."
ich fühle mich ja tatsächlich angesprochen, da ich das auch schon gemacht habe, aber wir haben nunmal keinen park oder wald in der nähe! *grummel*

not sporty

if you think that i might have too much time drawing a handball here. well, ehm, yes, but for my defense:

• i’m a student (actually excuse enough)
• i wrote an exam today and
• in the morning i went jogging for the first time of this year and tomorrow morning i’m going to play squash, so i need relaxation now.

should you get the impression that i’m a sporty girl i have to disappoint you: no, i’m not. but i have to start doing some fitness otherwise i’ll end up like this.

2007 - year of the pig

the year of the boar brings fertility and virility... it's still a bit early but today there was a little chinese new year festival at our university. puh, didn't know that we have so many chinese students -the house was full, they danced, sang and acted well but what a pity - everything was in chinese and i totally understood nothing so i went home earlier. :(
